PRJ: Zoom In and Zoom Out Buttons Change Timescale
This article was previously published under Q141262
If you use the Zoom In tool on the Standard toolbar, and then immediately
use the Zoom Out tool, the major and minor timescales in the Gantt chart
view may be changed from their original settings.
To work around this situation, use the menu commands to format the
timescale:
In Microsoft Project 2010:
1.      On the
View tab, select the
Timescale drop-down list, and then click
Timescale .
2.      Select the desired units for the
Top Tier, Middle Tier, and
Bottom Tier .
3.      Click
OK .
In Microsoft Project 2000-2007:
1.      On the
Format menu, click
Timescale .
2.      Select the desired units for the
Top Tier, Middle Tier, and
Bottom Tier.
3.      Click
OK .
In Microsoft Project 98 and earlier versions:
- On the Format menu, click Timescale.
- Select the desired units for the Major Scale.
- Select the desired units for the Minor Scale.
- Click OK.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
