PRJ: Duration Not Calculated Correctly from MPX File

In Microsoft Project, if an MPX file does not contain either Duration,
Start, or Finish in the Task table, the duration of each non-summary task
is set to 1d. However, the Start and Finish dates are calculated correctly
based upon the Resource Assignment work hours for each task.
To work around this problem so that you have a correct Duration value, do
one of the following:
- Make sure your MPX file contains a duration, start and finish for
tasks.
-or-
- Reenter the resource's work hours. By doing so, you force Microsoft
Project to recalculate a correct duration value.
-or-
- Enter a correct duration for the task.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the versions of Microsoft
Project listed above.
