PRJ: Editing Notes in a Sheet View Truncates Text

This article was previously published under Q169726

SYMPTOMS

If you edit data in the Notes column of a table, some data may be truncated.

CAUSE

The character limit for the Notes column in a sheet view is 255 characters.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, type the text you want in the Notes box on the Notes tab in the Task Information dialog box (Project menu) or the Notes tab in the Resource Information dialog box (Project menu if you are using the Resource Sheet view).
