SUMMARY

Microsoft provides no-charge Microsoft-sponsored Network News Transfer Protocol (NNTP) newsgroups on the Internet as part of a family of Information Services offerings. This service boosts Microsoft's Internet presence and further addresses customer demand for one-stop information and services over the Internet. Microsoft is investing in the newsgroups to create a community in which customers can share technical information about Microsoft products and technologies. Microsoft Newsgroups can be accessed by any newsgroup reader, including Microsoft Internet News, which is included with Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0.

MORE INFORMATION

The Microsoft-sponsored newsgroups offer peer-to-peer interaction on the Internet. Microsoft does not offer any formal support in the newsgroups. Instead, Microsoft sponsors the newsgroups as a platform for participating in the global community of Microsoft customers and product experts. In addition, Microsoft monitors the newsgroups to ensure accuracy of information and assists MVPs as needed.

Microsoft MVPs (Most Valuable Professionals) provide technical answers and expertise in the newsgroups. The Microsoft MVPs come from a wide range of backgrounds and professions, with a willingness to give their time, expertise, and advice to enhance the technical skills of other customers within the newsgroups.

For more information about available newsgroups, and to access them through your browser, visit the following Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx (http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx)
To access the newsgroups, configure your NNTP newsgroup reader to connect to the server msnews.microsoft.com. No user name or password is required to access this server. The following newsgroups are available for you to post your questions to:
   microsoft.public.inetserver.iis

Microsoft technical communities provide opportunities to interact with Microsoft employees, experts, and your peers in order to share knowledge and news about Microsoft products and related technologies. These technical communities provide a variety of ways to access answers to questions, to access solutions to problems, and to share your own expertise. These technical communities are located at the following Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/default.mspx (http://www.microsoft.com/communities/default.mspx)

Community Feedback System

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back. Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what didn't.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry edits), please consult a professional.

Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
