How to Enable the Javalog.txt File
This article was previously published under Q173469
This article describes how to enable the Javalog.txt file.
The Javalog.txt file is created in the Windows\Java folder when Java
logging is enabled and an error occurs when a Java program is run. The
Javalog.txt file can provide information about the Java error and the
classes affected. To view the Javalog.txt file, close Internet Explorer
and then open the Javalog.txt file with WordPad.
If a problem occurs when you run a Java program, a summary of Java error
messages may be displayed in the status bar in Internet Explorer. However,
the Java program may not write Java error messages to the status bar if
the Java program cannot be loaded.
To enable the Javalog.txt file, use the appropriate method:

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
