Windows 3.x Client Installs to Wrong Directory
This article was previously published under Q182564
In maintenance mode setup, the Setup program of SNA Server Windows 3.x
client always tries to install to the Sna.win directory. This occurs even
if you installed the Windows 3.x client to a directory other than Sna.win.
The maintenance mode setup gets the installation directory from the
Snasetup.ini file.
To work around this problem:
- Copy the SNA Client for Windows 3.x program files from the Clients\win3x
directory on the SNA Server CD to your hard disk drive.
- Modify the "Destination Path= " parameter in Snasetup.ini to reflect the
path where the Windows 3.x client is installed.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SNA Server version 4.0.
This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 4.0 U.S.
Service Pack. For information on obtaining this Service Pack, query on

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
