IDBSchemaRowset::GetSchemas Returns Inaccurate Information
This article was previously published under Q183575
If you run the Rowset Viewer sample of the OLE DB 1.5 Solution Developer
Kit, select IDBSchemaRowset::GetSchemas, and then select the drop-down list
box for the different schemas, you can see that the unsupported
restrictions are dimmed. Some of the unavailable restrictions are, in fact,
supported. Only one, TABLE_CATALOG, is unsupported and should be dimmed.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft OLE DB
Provider for AS/400 and VSAM version 1.0, included with Microsoft SNA
Server version 4.0.
This problem was corrected in the latest SNA Server version 4.0 U.S.
Service Pack. For information on obtaining this Service Pack, query on
the following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
