ACC2000: Standard Toolbar Not Available in Microsoft Access
This article was previously published under Q198666
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
In the
Customize dialog box, the option
Standard and Formatting toolbars share one row on the
Options tab is dimmed.
This option is never selectable because Access does not have a
Standard toolbar.
Microsoft Access shares the toolbar
Customize dialog box with the other components of Microsoft Office and, because the option does not apply to Access, it is dimmed. The standard toolbar in Access is called the
Database toolbar.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
- In the Customize dialog box, click the Options tab.
- Note that the first check box caption reads Standard and Formattting toolbars share one row.
- Click the Toolbars tab.
- Note that the list of toolbars does not include Standard.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Access 2000 Standard Edition
Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
