Support policy for SQL Server 2000 on newer Operating Systems

SUMMARY

This article explains that Microsoft SQL Server 2000 is not supported on computers that run the following versions of Microsoft Windows operating system
  • Windows Vista (all editions)
  • Windows Server 2008 (all editions)
  • Windows Server 2008 R2  (all editions)
  • Windows 7 (all editions)

MORE INFORMATION

SQL Server 2000 is not tested on computers that  run the Windows operating systems that are discussed in the Summary section. Therefore, SQL Server 2000 is not supported on these systems and Microsoft does not offer any technical support for these installations.
