PUB2000: Background Colors and Tiled Graphics Do Not Print
This article was previously published under Q207625
If you create a Web site publication (a publication that will be converted
to HTML) and choose a custom background, that Publication prints with a
solid white background. The custom color or tiled graphic does not print.
NOTE: The textured background does print from Internet Explorer 4.0.
This is by design and is consistent with the way the finished Web Page
will print from your Web browser.
Publisher has the ability to preview a graphic that will not print. If you
are working on a publication to be printed, you can click Special Paper on
the View menu. This gives you a choice of some graphic backgrounds that
will display, but not print. These are useful for working with PaperDirect
pre-printed special papers. The graphics or colors you choose, by clicking
Background and Text Colors on the Format menu, work the same way. You can
see them, and when you export your publication to HTML, they are exported
too. However, they will not print from Publisher or your Web
browser.
PaperDirect is a vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty,
implied or otherwise, regarding their products' performance or
reliability.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
