PUB2000: Converting Publications to Graphic Files Using MS Paint
This article was previously published under Q212630
Microsoft Publisher cannot save publications in a graphic format
accessible by other applications. The following steps show how to work around this limitation, and use Microsoft Paint to save a publication as a bitmap graphic file that can be imported by other programs.
In Microsoft Publisher, you can save a publication as a bitmap graphic by
following these steps:
- Select the information you want to save as a graphic. You can select multiple objects by joining them with the Group Objects (puzzle piece) icon.
- On the Edit menu, click Copy.
- On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and click Paint.
- On the Edit menu, click Paste.
- On the File menu, click Save As.
- In the Save File As Type list, select the format you want to use. For example, select 24-bit Bitmap.
- Type a unique filename in the File Name box.
- Click OK.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
