Icons in Datasheet view for lists in SharePoint are not displayed correctly when you have Microsoft Office 2003 Client installed.
Consider the following scenario.
·        You have Microsoft Office 2003 with Service Pack 3 and the Windows SharePoint Services Support installed on a Windows machine.
·        You open a SharePoint list in Datasheet View, the Icons for Folder and Items are not rendered.
This issue is a design limitation for integration between Microsoft Office 2003 and SharePoint, and is only present for List's Datasheet view.
As a consequence, you cannot browse the folders from this view.Â
If you open a Document Library in Datasheet View, the Icons are rendered correctly.
If you open a List in Datasheet View with Microsoft Office 2007Â the Icons are rendered correctly.
Upgrade to Office 2007 or later in order to avoid this behavior with SharePoint.

didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
