OFF2000: Maintenance Mode Requires 1280KB of Disk Space in Addition to the Features That You Choose to Add
This article was previously published under Q217683
The size of the selected features in the Microsoft Office 2000: Update Features dialog box is shown as 1280KB, even though you have not chosen to add any new features to your Office installation. In addition, the size will never show as less than 1280KB, even when you choose to remove files by changing one or more features to Not Available or Installed on First Use.
Office Setup requires at least 1280 kilobytes of free hard disk space for temporary files. The number displayed next to the Selected Features reflects the minimum temporary disk space required by Office Setup, as well as the disk space required by any additional features that you choose to install.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
