PUB2000: Number of Copies Grayed Out and Unselectable When Printing
This article was previously published under Q218663
When you print a publication from Microsoft Publisher 2000, the
Number of copies: option may be unavailable in the
Print window.
The publication is set up for Process Colors(CMYK) or Spot color(s). These layouts are designed for single copy printing only.
To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Print as Composite RGB
To print as composite RGB, follow these steps:
- On the Tools menu, point to Commercial Printing Tools, and click Color Printing.
- Click to select Composite RGB, then click OK.
Method 2: Set Printer to Print Multiple Copies
To set the printer to print multiple copies, follow these steps:
- On the File menu, click Print.
- Click Properties.
- Change the Copy Count to the desired number of prints.
NOTE: This option is a function of your printer driver, and is not available with all printers. If this option exists for your printer, it may be located in a different area depending on which driver you are using and what operating system you are running. If your print driver does not have this option, you must use the method described in
Method 1.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
