FIX: The TextFieldParser.EndOfData method returns True when the TextFieldParser object does not reach the end of text data in a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0-based application or a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1-based application

On This Page

SYMPTOMS

You call the TextFieldParser.EndOfData method to detect the end of text data in a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0-based or a Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1-based application. However, sometimes the method returns True unexpectedly even if the TextFieldParser object does not reach the end of text data.

CAUSE

This problem occurs because of an incorrect algorithm in the TextFieldParser class. Specifically, the stream stops reading before the end of the data is reached.
