"Apply Theme Using CSS" Option Is Unavailable
This article was previously published under Q229078
When you apply a new theme to a Web page by using FrontPage 2000, the
Apply Theme using CSS option is unavailable (appears dimmed).
This behavior can occur if you set the
Compatibility settings under
Page Options with the following Web browser settings:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer only with CSS options disabled
- Netscape Navigator only
- Both Internet Explorer and Navigator
- Microsoft Web TV with CSS options disabled
- Custom browser with CSS options disabled
To enable CSS formatting, follow these steps for the Web page that you want to modify:
- In Microsoft FrontPage, on the Tools menu, click Page Options.
- On the Compatibility tab, click Microsoft Internet Explorer only, Microsoft Web TV, or Custom for the browser.
- Select the CSS 1.0 (formatting) check box.
- Click OK.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
