Microsoft Windows 7 clients cannot connect to Microsoft Exchange 2007 Autodiscover SCP (Service Connection Point) - Error 0x800710DD.
Microsoft Windows 7 clients cannot connect to Microsoft Exchange 2007 Autodiscover SCP (Service Connection Point) - Error 0x800710DD.
The issue is caused after enablingÂ
Basic Authentication on the
Autodiscover virtual Directory, and having a backslash (
\) in the
Default Domain option.
1. Open
IIS Manager on the Exchange 2007Â
Client Access Server Role
2. Expand the server name, then select the
Autodiscover Virtual directory
3. Select
Properties, then
Directory Security tab
4. Under
Authentication and
Access Control, click
Edit5. Clear the ( \ ) from the Realm and Default Domain text boxes. These fields should be left blank.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Open
IIS Manager on the Exchange 2007
Client Access Server Role
2. Expand the server name, then select
Autodiscover Virtual Directory
3. Select
Properties, thenÂ
Directory Security tab
4. Under
Authentication and
Access Control, click
Edit5. Enabled
Basic Authentication6. On
Default Domain type "
\" (without quotes)
7. On
Realm type "
\" (without quotes)
8.
Apply the options
9.
Close and
Re-open Outlook 2007 client
10. Run
Test E-mail AutoconfigurationResult: The Windows 7 client should fail to connect to Autodiscover SCP with the following errorÂ
x800710DD, but a Windows XP client will continue to work.
