Error Messages Using Phone Dialer or Automatic Phone Dialer

When you attempt to use Microsoft Phone Dialer or the Automatic Phone Dialer in Microsoft Outlook, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Windows Telephony was unable to complete an operation
requested by Phone Dialer. Quit and restart Phone Dialer.
Unable to Complete an operation requested by the automatic phone
dialer. Please make sure your modem, phone, and phone lines
are properly configured.
This behavior can occur if any of the following conditions exist:
- Your modem drivers are configured incorrectly.
- Your modem drivers are damaged.
- The wrong modem driver is installed.
To resolve this behavior, contact your modem manufacturer to obtain the correct configuration information or updated software for your modem, or reinstall the original modem driver software.
