Data in Scrolling Text Box Is Not Saved to HTML Page
This article was previously published under Q236139
When you submit a form that includes a scrolling text box from which contents are saved to an HTML page, the comments in the scrolling text box do not get written to the HTML page.
This problem occurs when you set the results file format to HTML and the
Include Field Names check box has not been selected.
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
To obtain SR-1/SR-1a, click the article number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

- Click Options.
- Make sure the Include Field Names check box is selected.
- Click OK twice.
To change the format of the results file, do the following:
- With the page open in FrontPage, right-click inside your form.
- Click Form Properties from the drop-down menu.
- Click Options.
- On the File Results tab, click either Formatted Text or Formatted Text within HTML.
- Click OK twice.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
The scrolling text box is used on a number of FrontPage templates, including the Feedback Form and Guestbook. This problem occurs on all of the templates or newly created forms that include a scrolling text box.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
