When you attempt to use a program that uses your modem, you may receive the following error message:
DPAL Error Abnormal Parameter Passed In...in file .\hdlc.c at line 550.
After you receive this error message, your computer may stop responding (hang).
This behavior can occur if you are using a Diamond Multimedia SupraMax PCI modem, and you have not installed the latest drivers for the modem or the drivers are damaged.
To resolve this issue, download and install the version 2.1.2.136b or later modem driver, or contact Diamond Multimedia to obtain the latest version of the modem driver software. For information about obtaining the latest software, please visit the following Diamond Multimedia Web site:
