No Audio in NetMeeting with Wrong Playback or Record Sample Rate
This article was previously published under Q239817
When you attempt to use audio in NetMeeting, you may not hear any sounds, and this behavior may occur even though your sound card passed the audio test.
This issue can occur if the playback and record sample rate for your sound card are not set properly.
To resolve this issue, set the sample rate conversion quality to "best":
- Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Multimedia.
- On the Audio tab, click Advanced Properties in the Playback section, and then click the Performance tab.
- On the Performance tab, set the "Sample rate conversion quality" to Best, click Apply and then click OK.
- Click Advanced Properties in the Recording section.
- On the Performance tab, move the Sample Rate Conversion Quality slider to Best, click Apply, and then click OK.
- Click OK to close Multimedia Properties.
The sample rate conversion quality is set to "Good" by default.
APPLIES TO

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
