PUB2000: Crop Marks Are Not Printed for #10 Envelope
This article was previously published under Q240165
When you print an envelope document on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of paper with crop marks turned on, only the crop marks on the left side of the envelope are printed.
This behavior occurs if you select the #10 envelope paper size setting in the Page Setup dialog box.
To print crop marks when you print a #10 envelope document on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of paper:
- Open your Microsoft Publisher 2000 document.
- On the File menu, click Print Setup.
- Under Orientation, click Landscape, and then click OK.
- On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click Special Size.
- In the Choose a Publication Size box, click Custom.
- In the Width box under Choose a Publication Size, type the following value:
4.12"
- In the Height box under Choose a Publication Size, type the following value:
9.5"
- Under Choose an Orientation, click Landscape, and then click OK.
- On the Tools menu, click Options.
- Click the Print tab, and then click to clear each check box.
- Click OK.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
Crop marks indicate the horizontal and vertical edges of the page size configured in the Page Setup dialog box. In Publisher, crop marks are printed 0.25 inch outside the edges of the page size. Therefore, if the envelope page size is within 0.25 inch of the 8.5 x 11 inch sheet's edge, the crop marks are not printed.
