Error Message Warns of Too Little Disk Space for DirectX 6.1 During Installation of MGI PhotoSuite II
This article was previously published under Q250073
When you try to install MGI PhotoSuite II on a computer running Windows 98 Second Edition or Windows Millennium Edition, the installation may stop and you may receive the following error message:
Warning. Not enough space to install DirectX 6.1. Please free up some disk space.
To resolve this behavior, download the fix from the MGI Software Corporation Web site at
www.mgisoft.com
, called MGI PhotoSuite II DirectX Patch.
To work around this behavior, run Setup from the command line with a -nodirectx option, without using the patch.
The patch fixes the issue of installing MGI PhotoSuite II version 1.03 on computers that have DirectX version 6.1a installed.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
