When you upgrade from a computer running Microsoft Windows 98 with Syntha-Voice Computers' Slimware Window Bridge version 2.56 installed, the terminate-and-stay-resident (TSR) Setup program loaded into the Autoexec.bat file may not be able to start.
This behavior can occur because older versions of Slimware Window Bridge are not compatible with Windows Millennium Edition (Me).
To resolve this issue, contact Syntha-Voice to see about obtaining the latest version of the Slimware Window Bridge program that is compatible with Windows Me.
This behavior is by design.
Slimware Window Bridge uses settings in the the Autoexec.bat file to run. Windows Me does not load settings in the Autoexec.bat and Config.sys file.
