SUMMARY

Automated (or batch) installations are not supported in Windows Millennium Edition (Me).

Using the tools designed for previous operating systems (for example, Microsoft Windows 95, Microsoft Windows 98, or Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition) for automated installation of Windows Me may result in problems or error messages during Setup.

MORE INFORMATION

Windows Me is an operating system developed for the home user, and as such does not have tools updated or made specifically for batch support or tools for the creation of custom .inf files.

The Windows 98 automated installation tools (listed below) may work in some scenarios, but have not been tested and are not supported by Microsoft Product Support Services with Windows Me:
Automated .inf Installer (Infinst.exe)
Microsoft Batch 98 Automated Setup Tool (Batch.exe)
Batch File Wait (Sleep.exe)

  • Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition

Community Feedback System

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back. Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what didn't.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry edits), please consult a professional.

Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
