When you install the vendor-supplied device driver for a YAMAHA DS-XG PCI or a ESS-1869 sound card in a Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition (Me)-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
Cmdninst has caused a general protection fault in module User.exe
To resolve this issue, contact the vendor for updated drivers for your device.
