Comments Are Not Saved When You Submit a Feedback Form
This article was previously published under Q250943
When you submit a FrontPage form in the browser that includes a scrolling text box, the information entered in the form is not saved, and the form is reset. You do not receive an error message stating that there is a problem.
This problem occurs in the scrolling text box. If the
Save page to HTML option is selected and the
Include Field Names option is disabled, the Save to File form handler does not save the values of the scrolling text box.
To resolve this problem, obtain Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a).
To obtain SR-1/SR-1a, click the

OFF2000: How
to Obtain and Install Microsoft Office 2000 Service Release 1/1a (SR-1/SR-1a)
To work around this issue, if there are scrolling text boxes in the form, and you want to save the form results in HTML format, make sure the
Include Field Names check box is selected.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions.
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1/SR-1a.
This problem occurs with the FrontPage 2000 Server Extensions, version 4.0.2.2717 on a Windows NT Server 4.0 computer running IIS 4.0, and on a computer running Solaris with Apache installed.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
