Visio: How to Obtain Microsoft Visio 2000 Service Release 1 (SR-1)
To temporarily work around this problem, do not use the Shape Explorer to add shapes directly to the drawing. Instead, do the following:
- In the Shape Explorer, right-click the shape that you want to add.
- Click Open Containing Stencil.
- Drag the shape from the stencil.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article. Â This problem was corrected in Microsoft Visio 2000 SR-1.
Steps to Reproduce the Behavior
- On the Tools menu, point to Macros, and then click Shape Explorer.
- Type Triangle, and then click Find Now.
The Shape Explorer presents a list of available shapes. - Select the triangle in the Marketing Diagrams stencil.
- Right-click the triangle, and then click Add to Drawing Page.
An error sound occurs, but no error appears. - Click the Shape Explorer window to bring the error message forward.
Note that you receive the error message mentioned in the "Symptoms" section of this article.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Visio 2000 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Visio 2000 Professional Edition
