Tiger Woods 99 Makes Crackling or Static Sounds and Sounds Are Clipped
This article was previously published under Q264321
When you start the Tiger Woods 99 program on your Windows 2000-based computer, the announcers voice may make static or crackling sounds. Also, you may hear sound clipping during the game introduction and when you play the game.
This issue occurs because Tiger Woods 99 is not totally compatible with Windows 2000.
To resolve this issue, contact the manufacturer of Tiger Woods 99 to inquire about the availability of a fix for this issue.
To work around this issue, use either of the following methods:
- You may be able to diminish the symptoms by removing hardware acceleration.
- You can run this game on a computer that uses a supported operating system such as Microsoft Windows 95. For additional information about supported operating systems, contact the program manufacturer.
This behavior is by design.
