BUG: Report Preview Unreadable When Zoom Is Set at 75 Percent
This article was previously published under Q271638
When you preview report output in the
Print Preview window and the Zoom is set to 75 percent, the data in the preview become unreadable after you scroll to the bottom of the page. The letters appear broken or distorted.
Sometimes if you press the Home, Page Up, or Page Down keys they refresh the
Print Preview window and eliminate some of the distortion. However, this may not help in all cases.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed at the beginning of this article.
Steps to Reproduce Behavior
- Create a new report. Use any font you desire, but make sure that the report contains enough data so that you need to scroll to the bottom of page to see it all.
- Preview the report with Zoom at 100 percent. Scroll to the bottom, and note that you can read the report.
- Scroll back to the top,
change the Zoom to 75 percent, and then scroll to the bottom of the page.
Note that the data at the bottom of the page is unreadable. Press one of the keys mentioned in the "Resolution" section and the display may improve.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
