SideWinder Game Voice: Setup Hangs During Sound Card Tests

When you install the Microsoft SideWinder Game Voice software, during the sound card tests the computer may stop responding (hang) or you may receive an error message similar to the following error message:
This behavior can occur if you have an ESS Maestro-2 sound card installed in your computer.
The ESS Maestro-2 sound card does not pass the SideWinder Game Voice full-duplex sound tests.
