This article was previously published under Q288227

SUMMARY

When you create an event list by using SharePoint Team Services from Microsoft, the calendar view cannot be set as the default view from within the general settings of the event list in the browser.

This article describes how to make the calendar view the default view for an event list.

MORE INFORMATION

To make the calendar view the default view for an event list, follow these steps:
  1. Open the Web in Microsoft FrontPage.
  2. In the Folder List window, expand the Lists folder.
  3. Right-click the event list name that you want, and then click Properties.
  4. Click the Supporting Files tab.
  5. In the Default view page list, select the path that points to calendar.htm.
  6. Click OK.
When a user browses to your event list, the user sees the calendar view first.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other.
