Description: Could not connect to target server
Event Type: Error
Application Center could not connect to the target server
%RemoteServer% during synchronization
%ReplicationID% and job
%ReplicationJobID%. Status is
%Status%%StatusMessage%.
Meaning: Application Center could not connect to the remote COM or remote procedure call (RPC) server. Either the computer is not available or the name is incorrect.
Effect: The task cannot be completed. Troubleshoot the problem and retry the task.
Possible Causes and SolutionsServer not available: The member is not turned on, has been renamed, or has been disconnected from the network.
Also investigate:- Try to contact the member by typing ping [server name] at the command line.
- Disk failure on the member.
- Network failure.
- Power failure.
Other Solutions (listed in order of preference):- Restart this computer.
- Use the Support Online link in the Events view.
