STS: JavaScript Error When You Try to Create a Field with Netscape 4.08

SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to use Netscape Navigator 4.08 to create a field in a SharePoint team Web site, you receive the following error message, which is displayed on the status bar of the browser:
JavaScript error: Type 'javascript' into Location for details

CAUSE

This behavior occurs because Netscape Navigator 4.08 is not fully supported by SharePoint Team Services at this time.

RESOLUTION

To use SharePoint team Web sites with all of the advanced features, install Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or later. To download Internet Explorer 5.0 or later, browse to the following Microsoft Web site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/)
