FIX: Accessibility Keys Are Missing in BizTalk Editor and BizTalk Mapper

SYMPTOMS

The following accessibility features are missing from the BizTalk Mapper and BizTalk Editor:
  • In BizTalk Editor, in the New Specification window, you cannot use the keyboard to access the buttons that switch between large and small icon views.
  • In BizTalk Editor and BizTalk Mapper, in the Select Template window, you cannot use the BACKSPACE key to bring the window to the upper level.
  • In BizTalk Editor and BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the CTRL+TAB key combination to navigate through tab positions in the Record property or Field property windows.
  • In BizTalk Editor and BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the SHIFT+F10 key combination to bring up the context menu.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the arrow keys to move focus in the Grid Preview window.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the TAB key or the CTRL+TAB key combination to navigate through tab positions in the Functoid Palette window.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the keyboard to create, delete, or redirect a link.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the keyboard to view link properties.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the keyboard to drag a functoid from the Functoid Palette window to the mapping grid.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the keyboard to move or delete a functoid in the mapping grid.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the keyboard to view functoid properties.
  • In BizTalk Mapper, you cannot use the keyboard to move the locator bar in the Grid Preview window.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for BizTalk Server 2000. For additional information, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in BizTalk Server 2000. This problem was first corrected in BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1.
