How to add space to the Microsoft Operations Manager OnePoint Database

To increase the amount of disk space that is allocated to the MOM database, follow these steps:
  1. In Microsoft SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager, under Microsoft SQL Server, expand SQL Server Group.
  2. Click the name of the server, and then expand Databases.
  3. Right-click the OnePoint database, click Properties, and then click the Data Files tab.
  4. Enter the new database size under Space Allocated.
Note that the OnePoint database should not be configured for automatic growth. For more information about that issue, refer to the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

To safely disable automatic file growth, follow these steps:
  1. Stop the OnePoint Service.
  2. In Microsoft SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager, under Microsoft SQL Server, expand SQL Server Group.
  3. Click the name of the server, and then expand Databases.
  4. Right-click the OnePoint database, click Properties, and then click the Data Files tab.
  5. Click to clear the Automatically grow file check box.
