Article ID: 301896 - Last Review: March 23, 2007 - Revision: 5.0 Some animations are slower when you view a presentation that has been saved as a Web page in PowerPointThis article was previously published under Q301896 If you save a Microsoft PowerPoint presentation
that contains animations as a Web page (.htm) or as a Web archive (.mht), some of
the animations in the HTML version of the presentation may render slowly or
appear to be choppy compared to the original presentation. To work around this problem, use one of the following
viewing options for your presentation:
- You want your audience to see and to experience all the
PowerPoint slide show features in full fidelity. To do this, have your audience
use the PowerPoint version in which the slide show was created.
- You are not using the slide show features that are specific to Microsoft
Office PowerPoint 2007.
However, you want PowerPoint to display the animations, the slide transitions, and
the multimedia to your audience just as PowerPoint displays them to you. To do
this, have your audience view the presentation in Microsoft PowerPoint 97,
in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000, in Microsoft
PowerPoint 2002, in Microsoft
Office PowerPoint 2003, or in PowerPoint 2007.
- Your presentation does not contain any macros or ActiveX
controls. In this case, have your audience view the presentation by using the
Microsoft PowerPoint 97 Viewer.
- You are using animation and transition
features that are specific to PowerPoint 2002 or
to PowerPoint 2003, and your audience does not have PowerPoint 2002
or PowerPoint 2003. In this case, use the PowerPoint
2002 or
PowerPoint 2003 HTML format. There will be some loss
of performance and fidelity when the presentation is viewed as a Web
page.

and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
