If you view a Web page that contains the VINavBar component in a Web browser, the following message appears on the page:

In Microsoft Frontpage 2002, if you click
Preview in Browser on the

In some cases, the following error message may appear on the server console:

The procedure entry point ?boundscheck@pvstructurestorenodevvector@@ivexi@z could not be located in the dynamic link library fp5awel.dll.
The VINavBar component is not supported when using the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions.
Install Microsoft Office XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) on the the server that is running the FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions.
To prevent these errors when you work with or view your Web page, use one of the following methods.

- On the Insert menu, click Navigation.
The Insert Web Component dialog box appears.
- In the Component type list, click Link Bars. In the Choose a bar type list, click the type of navigation bar you want and click Next.
- Click Finish.
For more information about how to create a navigation structure in a FrontPage Web, click
Microsoft FrontPage Help on the
Help menu, type
navigation in the Office Assistant or
the Answer Wizard, and then click
Search to view the topics
returned.
Method 2: Rename the Vinavbar Folder
Rename the following folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50\Bots\Vinavbar
-to-
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\50\Bots\Vinavbarold

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
