The
%src_filename% symbol does not retain the correct file name and path if you use
the pass-through flag to submit the input file to BizTalk Server. Instead of
the name and path of the input file name being passed to the output file name
by these symbols, the actual text of the symbol name is passed to the output
file name.

By using the
%src_filename% symbol that is available in BizTalk Server 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and
BizTalk Server 2002, you can dynamically modify output file names by
using the File transport.
You can use the
%src_filename% symbol to generate output files that have the name and the path of the
original input file. For example, when you are configuring a BizTalk
Messaging Port, you can configure the File transport address as the following:
file://c:\outputfile%src_filename%.txt
In this example, if you name the input file
test.xml, the output file name becomes
if you use the pass-through flag to submit the input file to BizTalk
Server.

symbols to dynamically modify the output file name. The following
