Columns are missing in the Gantt Chart in Microsoft Project
This article was previously published under Q317408
When you try to print a multi-page project one page at a time or one section at a time in Microsoft Project, the document is not printed as expected.
The non-working time columns in the Gantt Chart appear in print preview, but do not appear on paper when the page is printed.
The following items may not be printed:
- Gray non-working time bands.
- Gridlines.
- The timescale across the top of the Gantt Chart.
To work around this behavior, print all of the project at one time. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open the project that you want to print.
- On the File menu, click Print.
- In the Print dialog box, click All, and then click OK.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Project 2000 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Project 2002 Professional Edition

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
