XADM: An "ExMerge - (2666b34d)" Error Ocurs When Creating a MAPI Profile by Using the -NUMTHREADS Option in the Exchange 2000 Version of Exmerge
This article was previously published under Q317946
When you (the administrator) are using the Exchange 2000 version of the Mailbox Merge program (Exmerge) to export mailboxes to personal folder files (.pst), the initial mailbox may not export and the following error may be logged in the Exmerge.log file:

[19:25:49] Entered Routine: EDKRoutines::CopyMailBoxData)
This issue occurs because the full-featured Mapi32.dll file is renamed to Msmapi32.dll and moved to the Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\
locale_ID\
operating_system folder when Microsoft Outlook is installed. A new stub Mapi32.dll file is added to the System32 folder to point applications to the correct Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) configuration. However, the Exchange 2000 Mailbox Merge program needs direct access to the
full-featured version of the Mapi32.dll file.
To resolve this issue, copy the full-featured Mapi32.dll file from the System32 folder of an Exchange Server computer (or any computer on which Microsoft Outlook 98 is installed) to the folder that contains the Exmerge.exe file. After you copy the full-featured Mapi32.dll file to the folder that contains the Exmerge.exe file, the Mailbox Merge program uses the full-featured Mapi32.dll file in the local folder and runs successfully.

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
