SUMMARY

Microsoft Windows 2000 is designed so that customers can easily receive additional program support after the initial release of Windows 2000. Earlier, such additional program support was provided by software compatibility updates for Windows 2000. However, these compatibility updates are no longer available separately. Instead, the updates are included in Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 (SP3) or later.
