URLScan SRP 2.5 does not overwrite the value of MaxAllowedContentLength
This article was previously published under Q332109
After you upgrade from URLScan 2.5 to the more restrictive URLScan Security Rollup Package (SRP) 2.5, you find that the
MaxAllowedContentLength that is specified in the Urlscan.ini file has not changed.
This problem occurs because when you install URLScan SRP 2.5 after you have installed URLScan 2.5, the
MaxAllowedContentLength value of 2000000000 is not overwritten with the more restrictive value of 30000000.
To resolve this problem, set the
MaxAllowedContentLength to 30000000. To do so, open the Urlscan.ini file in a text editor (such as Notepad), and then set the
MaxAllowedContentLength value to 30000000. This
file is located in the
System Root\System32\Inetsrv\Urlscan folder.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
