How to obtain the latest .NET Framework 1.0 service pack

On This Page

SUMMARY

A service pack is a tested, cumulative set of all hotfixes, security updates, critical updates, and updates. Service packs may also contain additional fixes for problems that are found internally since the release of the product and a limited number of customer-requested design changes or features.

Service packs are cumulative. Every new service pack contains all hotfixes, security updates, critical updates, and updates that exist in previous service packs, together with any new fixes. Therefore, you do not have to apply a previous service pack before you apply the latest one. For example, you do not have to apply the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1) before you apply the .NET Framework 1.0 SP2.

The .NET Framework 1.0 service packs cover all English versions of these products, together with all localized versions of these products.

Every service pack detects the files that you have installed on your system and then installs the appropriate hotfixes, security updates, critical updates, and updates. Localized versions of these products include the following:
  • Chinese, Traditional
  • Chinese, Simplified
  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korean
  • Spanish
The ReadMe file contains descriptions of the fixed bugs and lists all changed files.

Community Feedback System

Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back. Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what didn't.

Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry edits), please consult a professional.

Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
