Error in module Rpcrt4.dll when you connect to a mail server in Outlook 2002

SYMPTOMS

When you use Microsoft Outlook 2002 to connect to a Microsoft Exchange server, you may receive an error message that is similar to one of the following:
Outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close... AppName = Outlook.EXE. AppVer = 10.0.2627.1. ModName = Rpcrt4.dll. ModVer = 5.1.2600.1106. Offset = 0000e573.
Invalid Page Fault in module Rpcrt4.dll

CAUSE

This problem may occur if you have antivirus or firewall software that is installed and running on your computer.

RESOLUTION

To try and resolve this problem, contact your antivirus or your firewall manufacturer to see if updates exist for your software.
