Add-ins that are installed in PowerPoint 2002 are available to PowerPoint 2003, PowerPoint 2007, or to PowerPoint 2010
You install Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 on the same computer with Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, with Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, or with Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010. Then, you install an add-in in PowerPoint 2002. When you do this, the add-in is also available to PowerPoint 2003, to PowerPoint 2007, and to PowerPoint 2010.Â
The reverse is also true. When you install an add-in in PowerPoint 2003, Powerpoint 2007 or in PowerPoint 2010, the add-in is also available to PowerPoint 2002.
This behavior occurs because PowerPoint 2002, PowerPoint 2003, PowerPoint 2007, and PowerPoint 2010 share a common Add-ins folder. The location of the common Add-ins folder is as follows:
In Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\Microsoft\AddIns
In Windows Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\AddIns
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
- Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003
- Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 Standard Edition

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
