You receive an error message when you click Next in a paged data view in FrontPage 2003
In Front Page 2003, when you browse to a page that contains
a data view and then click
Next, you may receive the following
error message:
An error occurred while processing the data
for this request. Contact the server administrator for more
information.
This
problem occurs because the paging function cannot render the data view when one
of the following conditions is true:
- You use a table to create the data view. The table does not
have a primary key or the sorting of the data view is disabled.
- You use a view to create the data view. The sorting of the
data view is disabled.
The workaround depends on what was
used to create the data view. If a table was
used to create the data view, either enable sorting on the data view or use
a primary key on the table. If a view was
used to create the data view,
enable
sorting
on the data view.
Microsoft
has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed
in the "Applies to" section.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
