You cannot insert a hit counter Web component to a cell in a Data View list in FrontPage 2003

SYMPTOMS

When you use FrontPage 2003 to open and edit your Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services Web site, you cannot insert a hit counter Web component to a cell in a Data View list. However, you can drag the hit counter object to the Data View list in FrontPage 2003.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in Microsoft Office FrontPage 2003.
