How to clear the recently used address list in Entourage for Mac
When you type a partial address for an e-mail, Entourage for Mac suggests addresses that include typographic errors
and addresses that you no longer want to keep.
This behavior occurs because the recently used address list is
built from both incoming and outgoing addresses. This includes e-mail addresses
that you would generally consider to be junk e-mail.
To resolve this behavior in Entourage 2004 for Mac, follow these steps:
- On the Entourage menu, click Preferences.
- Under Mail
& News Preferences, click Compose.
- Click Clear List.
- Click OK.
To resolve this behavior in versions of Entourage that are earlier than Entourage 2004 for Mac, follow these steps:
- On the Entourage menu, click Mail
& News Preferences.
- Click the Compose tab.
- Click Clear List.
- Click OK.
Note If you click to clear the
Display a list of recently used
addresses when addressing messages check box, Entourage still
displays a list of suggested addresses from the address book.

Community Feedback System
Very often, it takes hours to solve a problem. Very often, you've looked high
and low, and have tried a lot of solutions. When you finally found it, chances
are, it was because someone else helped you. Here's your chance to give back.
Use our community feedback tool to let others know what worked for you and what
didn't.
Please also understand that the community feedback system is not warranted to be
correct, it's simply a system that we've built to let people try and help each
other. If something in a feedback response doesn't make sense to you, or you're
not comfortable making changes that the feedback talks about (like registry
edits), please consult a professional.
Thank you for using kbAlertz.com Feedback System.
