An accepted appointment invitation is listed as Out of Date in Outlook 2002 and in Outlook 2003
When you view an appointment invitation in the Microsoft Windows version of Microsoft Outlook 2002 or of Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, the appointment invitation is listed as Out of Date in the Preview pane. Additionally, in Outlook 2002 the appointment invitation does not have the following standard invitation buttons:
- Accept
- Tentative
- Decline
- Propose New Time
This problem occurs because Microsoft Entourage for Mac does not automatically delete the appointment invitation after it has been replied to if both the following conditions are true:
- You used Entourage for Mac to accept the appointment invitation.
- Both Entourage for Mac and the Windows version of Microsoft Outlook use the same Microsoft Exchange server account.
To work around this problem, manually delete the appointment invitation after you accept it in Entourage for Mac.
Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
APPLIES TO
- Microsoft Outlook 2002 Standard Edition
- Microsoft Office Outlook 2003
- Microsoft Entourage 2004 for Mac
